It’s true that you can walk down Poppies lane
and find a multitude of restaurants that offer so called
American food, but it’s very risky business. The
odds are more often than not, that the food they serve
you has little or no resemblance to real American food.
I have lived here long enough to know that it isn’t
worth the gamble. Instead, we went to Hard Rock Café,
where their reputation for outstanding American food
is so far reaching, that there are hundreds of Hard
Rock Cafes worldwide. I honestly hadn’t eaten at
the Bali Hard Rock Café before, so I wasn’t
sure what to expect. When my friend and I entered the
air-conditioned environment, I had a look around at
the phenomenal collection of music memorabilia from
famous rock stars dating back to the 50’s and 60’s
up to today. Photos & posters of 60’s icons
like Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors and of course
one of my favorites – the Beatles, covered the
walls. I walked around gazing at all the electric guitars
that were autographed by famous singers like Jackson
Browne, Joan Jett and Garth Brooks. I felt like I was
back home in the good old U.S.A. What an amazing place! |
